Yay!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! its the weekend! I don't know about anyone else but the week just flew by for me. I have not got on the scale since the other day-not that I don't want to-I just keep on forgetting. I don't really have a busy weekend planned but then again-after thinking of what has to get done this weekend, it is going to be kinda busy-don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing yet-I will have to let ya know after the weekend. I just love Friday's because I don't have to get up for work tomorrow and although my boyfriend and I like to hit the gym early, we don't HAVE to be there early and that's the best part about it all. Which brings me to the subject of my boyfriend, if you ever hear me refer to Monkey-that's him! that is the nickname I gave him-don't ask me why I just did-thought it was cute like him : ) He is the best boyfriend a girl could ever want. He is the reason I am pursuing my dream. I am able to do the things I want to do because of him. It takes a lot ot be able to focus 100% plus on your show when you work full time and in an office or any other stressful work environment where you have to punch a clock and report to someone all the time. Since we have been together, he has helped me pursue the things I love and that make me happy day to day without any undue stress and I just want to thank you again Monkey and tell you I love you. He is just so supportive, and is always boosting my confidence when I need it the most and somedays that is a lot and I'm not always the most pleasant person : ) (opps). He puts up with me (lol). On another note, I have these two wacky kittens, well cats now bec they are a year old and they are running around now like two nit wits! I mean really-you would think I have two, three year olds running around. Twice now I have had to get up and yell at them and find out what they are up to because of all the commotion and noise they are causing. It sounds like they are tearing up the place-of course when I went out the first time to yell they are both looking up at me with the innocent eyes like who us? what'd we do Ma? we're not doin anything honest. Now, I just went out for the 2nd time and said what's going on with you two if i have to put you both in sep rooms and now I get the wasent me ma looks it was her and they are both looking at each other-catz! love em but drive ya nutz! Anyways I'll leave ya wit a picture that pretty much says it all- : )

Hey, welcome to blogland! Found your blog via a comment you left on Britt Miller's blog, just wanted to say hi and all the best... when is your first National show scheduled for? Oh, and pets are always babies when you've had them since birth, no matter how much time passes... your cats will still be kittens even 10 years from now!
Hi : ) thanks for the warm welcome. Sooo true about the pets isent it : ) they will always be "our" babies. First National show not scheduled until June/July 0f 2008, next year but as my trainer would say "Bodybuilding shows are won in the off season and lost 10 days before the contest so its important what I do from now until Feb/March which would be right about when I have to start cleaning up and dieting, etc.
Sounds tough, but by the looks of things you've been doing pretty well so far! Have you done many regional shows in the past? Enough to know the ropes I'm sure. Do you have to qualify or be invited to a national level show, or are they open to anyone who feels like they have the 'stuff' to bring it?!?
Yes, you do have to qualify at a National qualifying BB competition prior to doing any National Level show. I am going to have to requalify next year. I'm pretty certain they only last 2 years and that's it. I competed in 2005 in 3 shows, won all three and the overall and they were National qualifiers but I did not compete in 06 or this year so I will have to requalify before the Masters but there are 2 shows prior to that one and I'm confident I will win them to requalify : )
With a record like that, I'd be confident too! lol
Awww thanks : )
